## Canonical definition
Guidance Credibility Index (GCI): an evidence-linked score of whether a listed company’s management delivered on quantified forward-looking guidance versus subsequent reported actuals for the same metric and period, with primary disclosure sources attached. Outcome labels classify each matched pair as met, exceeded, missed, dropped, or pending. A company GCI aggregates those labeled points into a 0–100 index that can be reviewed point-in-time. CiteAlpha ships GCI for Indian equity desks (Sensex depth first); it does not replace prices, consensus, or investment judgement.
